Getting Started on your Journey of Spiritual Growth. This section covers the Basics.
Learning about Discipleship
Placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone as your personal Lord and Savior is the most important decision you will ever make! If you have never invited Christ into your life, or if you would like more information on what it means to commit your life to Christ, please allow us the privilege of sharing Him with you.
What is Discipleship?
God does not ask us to seek converts, He simply asks us to do Discipleship. Discipleship is modeling and teaching the precepts of the Bible. Including but not limited to prayer, doctrine, relationship, Christian living, obedience, service and worship. Yes, we are still to evangelize, but under God's lordship and call! When we evangelize, we must realize that it is the role of the Holy Spirit to bring people into an intimate relationship with God. This is an act of divine intervention and grace. We can plant the seed and water it, but it is God who makes it grow. (1 Corinthians 3:6)
What is a Disciple?
A Disciple is one who has made a commitment to the lordship of Jesus Christ and wants to be like him. A Disciple grows in Christ and in so doing models and teaches the precepts of the Bible, prayer, doctrine, relationship, Christian living, obedience, service, and worship.
