I grew up on a farm south of Winterset, Iowa. I attended a very small country church (which is now part of the Madison County Historical Complex), where I was led to the Lord. After college I attended the American Institute of Business (AIB) and met my wife, Janet. After working in retail management for several years, I went back to AIB and got a degree in Computer Programming. I have worked as a programmer at IMT Insurance since 1993. I have been a part of New Hope Church since its early days, and am passionate about the New Hope family. I also founded Team RunFree (an organization which helps physically disabled individuals experience the joy of running). Janet and I have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
Things I’m Thankful For:
Of course my family, a body that works, friends who don’t scare off easily … and coffee.
Working in my ‘man shop’, running, pancakes, deer hunting, eating samples at Costco, spending time with my wife, and playing with my grandkids (not necessarily in that order).
World War II movies & documentaries, Sci-fi movies, Twilight Zone, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and Hawkeye football.
