I am originally from South Dakota. I grew up on a small farm. My family left the farm and moved to live above and run a gas station during my high school years. I have five sisters and had two brothers. I went to South Dakota State University and then worked in the Ag Chemical/bio tech world for 30+ years. I am married to Peg (many say one of the best things to happen to me). I agree totally! Peg and I have two sons, a daughter, and one granddaughter. We most recently ran and owned Right Turn Feed Store. I presently work for a small fertilizer company and travel the Midwest. We are involved in many community organizations, but most important to us is the Cowboy Church that originated at the feed store. Right Turn Cowboy Church meets the first and 3rd Sunday of each month.
Things I’m Thankful For:
Christ hanging on the cross for me! My family, especially Peggy, my kids and grand baby. New Hope sisters and brothers in Christ, the opportunity to reach others through Cowboy Church.
A good laugh with others, a good horse and a good dog, a saddle that is broken in, hunting and fishing, seeing those without (Christ) turn into those with (Christ)
I am not much on sitting through a whole movie—concentration issues!! but I do like RFD TV, PBR bull riding, Team roping and horsemanship shows, FOX News, outdoor shows. TIVO is amazing!
Favorite Music Groups/CDs:
I recently found a thing called Pandora – I have been listening to Wylie Gustafson and the wild west show, Don Edwards and Waddie Mitchell, Southern Gospel Radio, Lauren Daigle. In my life I have attended many concerts, some that come to mind are Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Merle Haggard, Chicago, Black Oak Arkansas, John Prine, Jerry Jeff- I am glad I got most of that out of my system.
I Hope To Someday:
Meet my children in heaven - I also hope to see you there…
Some Favorite Books Read:
Of course, my favorite is the Bible, and James is probably my favorite book in the book! I used to read more books than I do now. Most of my reading consists of books pertaining to small groups and church leadership. I am not a slow reader but am a slow thinker. I like to relax with the latest issue of Western Horseman.
Probably cliché’ - has to be John 3:16- You can not say it any better than that – a gift of love is given through an only son, simply believing in him can give you the opportunity to live in a beautiful eternity with our creator…. Duh!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
